back to basics
'Back to basics', sometimes sounds to cheezy as a theme. So, please excuse the cheese, but it remains to powerful in its simplicity. For me, this is what the season of Pentecost is all about- coming back to the basics of what it means to be a christian, to be church. As we go through the book of Acts, this week , we read about simple people, doing the basics right. They prayed earnestly and simply believed the promises of Jesus that something would happen, they shared joy, they laughed, looked after each other's needs and they visited each other-, simply enjoying each other's company. In a sense we could say- they were growing in friendship, family-life and faith. So simpel nĂȘ !
